Organic Fibre Trivets
The Product: In parts of the world where plastic and extensive production measures cease to dictate home goods, these sustainable alternatives flourish. In Central Mexico, corn is a main staple in the local diet, and these handmade trivets utilize the husks that are leftover from meal preparation into reuse.
Slow Processes: Husks are washed, braided tightly, would into a traditional pattern, and sewn together. Each features a loop for hanging. These natural trivets will make a beautiful addition to a table full of pottery and linen; or as a row of hanging art that can completely biodegrade at the end of its useful life.
Dimensions: Approximately 20 x 20cm
Care: Wipe with a damp cloth, warm water and mild soap to clean. No bleach, harsh soaps or scrubbers (Castile or our natural dish soaps are just perfect for these), for risk of damaging the piece. Do not wash in the dishwasher or washing machine. Lay flat to dry, out of direct sun.
