Canadian Shipping

At this time, we only ship to Canadian addresses. With the increases due to the pandemic, we have had to adjust our shipping rates.

Flat Rate $15 shipping

*except for items noting extra shipping charges (powdered items + refill boxes). These items cannot be shipped to remote locations.

Recycled Shipping Materials

At Harlowe Green, almost all of our shipping materials are reused. Of course they are not as beautiful and coordinated, but we believe in holding true to our sustainability values. Our shipping materials are almost always compostable; if you find any plastic bubble wrap/padding in your order, it has come to us in a shipment and we are giving that plastic another life. While we do not have suppliers that ship with plastics, we sometimes have things sent to us from small makers that are doing the same thing we are; reusing.

The stickers on our packages come from No Issue and are completely compostable. We are thankful that Printed + Pink created such a perfect stamp for us - be sure to check both small businesses out!

 

Order Pick-Up

You can opt to pick up your order at our Harlowe or Kingston shops. This option is free and we shall send you an email notification that your order is ready to be picked up once it is ready. All orders for pick up will come in pre-filled jars or bags in the quantity size you select for each item. Depending on the day and how busy the shop is, it may take a few hours to prepare it.

How to:

  • At checkout, choose the "Pickup" option. 
  • You will receive an email notification when your order is ready for pick-up at our shop (if location not specified in notes), or when it has arrived at your pick-up point preferred.
  • Pick-up is at 4285 Henderson Road, Arden (closer to Harlowe than Arden) inside the shop during shop hours. If you'd like your order left out for you to pick up outside of shop hours, that is easy for us to accommodate, as we live here! Just let us know via email (harlowegreen@gmail.com) + we will do our best to accommodate your preferred time.
  • Pick up in Kingston is located at 90 Brock Street downtown inside the store. If you would prefer outdoor pickup, please state it in the notes section at checkout and wave to us when you've arrived. We will do our best to accommodate this, depending on whether we are serving a customer at that time!

 

Local Delivery 

Our local delivery situation is changing at the end of 2021 to accommodate a new shop space and the transition time it will take to get us going. We apologize for the inconvenience of these changes and any little hiccups along the way as we adjust our small business to still accommodate our beloved customers!

Delivery enables us to continue offering a low waste option to our customers that is as convenient as possible for them. Most refills add quite a lot of extra weight and shipping is not realistic. We hope to always continue offering delivery as it makes all of this possible!

Please let us know if there's anything amiss and we will set it right as best we can.

Mason Jar Deposit Program Update for Local Delivery: Unfortunately, we will be suspending the local delivery mason jar deposit program for the interim until we can get things settled. You can definitely bring any jars you have purchased back to either shop location for your deposit return. We will be using another small, mighty, female-owned business (Pretty Little Delivery Co!) to help us with our deliveries and as such, we won't be able to pick up the jars and apply the credit to your account as we have these last few months.

Earthub + Terracycle Donations Pickup: at this time, we will be suspending this until we can get things settled as we will be using another small business for our deliveries and it is not realistic at the moment. We continue to welcome all of your donations in store!

Deodorant Refill Update: at this time, we are unable to refill deodorants on the go as we transition to a new store space. We hope it is something we can bring back in the future!

Local Delivery Charge: the delivery fee is dependant on your location and free for purchases over $150. This is to help us minimize the carbon footprint of our deliveries instead of many small deliveries. You can opt to check out with a friend to share your delivery fee and the carbon impact!

 

Local Delivery Packaging

You order will come in an open Kraft paper (unbleached and recycled material) gift bag or reused box in order to save the waste of additional packaging materials. Please be cognizant of the amount of time your order may be outdoors in the elements, especially as we enter a colder time of year, especially for liquid refill goods packaged in glass.

 

Local Delivery "How to": 

1. Choose whatever refillery goods + sustainable living products you'd like

2. Make sure your address is within our local delivery radius - if it is not, we will reach out with an option to have it refunded or picked up at our store. 

3. Choose local delivery at checkout - if you have any specific notes about dropping off your order, please make sure you leave them in the note at checkout or send us an email at the time of your order at harlowegreen@gamil.com

4. Orders placed up to Monday at midnight will be delivered that same week. If you place your order after Monday at midnight, your order will be delivered the following week (for example, Tuesday's orders will be delivered the following Wednesday through Friday).

5. You will receive a Delivery Completed notification once your order has been delivered.

Local Delivery Policies

  • At this time, certain bulk options are only available for local delivery or pickup. 
  • Local delivery to Cloyne (up to Mazinaw Lake), Northbrook, Harlowe, Henderson, Flinton and Kaladar usually happens within 1-4 business days, dependant on the time of day the order is placed and whether it falls within a holiday/busy period.
  • If you are unsure if you qualify for local delivery or have any questions about the process, please check in at harlowegreen@gmail.com   
  • At checkout, choose the "Local Delivery" option. 
  • You will receive an email notification when your order has been DELIVERED.


Local delivery package drop-off

  • Please be as explicit as possible when explaining how and where we can drop off your package to you if it is not at your doorstep.
  • You can explain this in the "notes" section at checkout.
  • We don't want you to lose your package or have it be damaged by weather if you aren't home during the day -- that's not good for either of us! -- but we also can't afford to refund or replace packages if they were lost or stolen  or damaged due to absent or unclear delivery instructions.
  • If you are unsure if you qualify, please just ask. You can always choose the shipping rate and I can refund you the difference if I am able to drop it off.
  • Please be aware of the items within your order - if you are ordering liquids at different times of the year, they may freeze or become too hot. If you choose local delivery, please ensure that you can collect your items from outdoors within a reasonable timeframe.
